Authors to Take Over Urban Grape DC for DC Pride Month Event

Meet the World Image Solutions is once again partnering with Urban Grape DC June 5 for a special Books & Wine: Pride Month Edition, celebrating LGBTQIA+ authors and stories.

“Whether you’re an avid reader, aspiring writer, or simply someone who believes in the power of diverse stories, we invite you to join us,” said Meet the World founder Dr. Rhonda M. Lawson. “We thank Urban Grape DC for inviting us back to provide a safe space to honor literary excellence and uplift communities whose stories deserve to be told.”

The event’s featured authors will be Beautiful Lawson, Chanele Ramos, and Pamela Coleman, all of whom write about life, love, struggle, and self-discovery. Each book is filled with bold perspectives, rich storytelling, and deeply personal narratives that represent all facets of the queer community.

This marks the second time Meet the World has hosted an event at Urban Grape DC. In February, the company kicked off its 9th Annual Black History Month Literary Weekend there, attracting more than 150 readers and wine lovers throughout the DMV. Lawson hopes to continue the momentum in June.

“Our February event was amazing, and I’m looking forward to creating the same excitement for the Pride Month edition,” Lawson said. “Whether you’re into poetry, suspense, modern fiction, or non-fiction, there will definitely be something for everyone. These authors are unapologetically on top of their game.”

This event is free and open to the public, but attendees must reserve their tickets in advance.
